Acne Scarring
Acne scarring is a particularly distressing phenomenon. The scarring results from the skin’s natural healing process after skin tissue has been damaged by acne. The type of scars that develops depends on the nature of skin damage. Different types of acne scars include ice pick scars (deep pits), box scars (angular scars – normally occur on the temple and cheeks), rolling scars (have a wave-like appearance) and hypertrophic (thickened) scars.
Although scars cannot be removed completely, they can often be made less visible with non-invasive treatments such as:
Laser Resurfacing
Collagen Induction Therapy
Dermal Filler Injections
